Marine litter in the curriculum of every coastal school

The directorate commits to a two-lesson marine litter module in every coastal primary school, to one measured beach survey per class each year and to publishing the counts the pupils produce as open data.

The commitment

All 62 schools running the module and filing at least one survey a year from the 2027 school year onwards.

Progress reporting against these indicators is planned for a later phase of the platform.
