Retrieving lost fishing gear from three bays

Member cooperatives commit to reporting every net and trap lost at sea, to two organised retrieval campaigns a year with a diving team, and to recording the position and weight of everything recovered in a shared register.

The commitment

12 tonnes of lost gear recovered and a loss report filed for at least 80 per cent of incidents by the end of 2029.
