A continuous dune and wetland buffer along 18 km of shore

A Regional Environment Agency · Croatia · Europe · Registered on 5 September 2026 · Reference MLAP-2026-0142

What is committed

The agency commits to closing informal vehicle tracks across the dunes, replanting native vegetation on the eroded sections and reconnecting two drained wetlands to the tide, so the shoreline absorbs storm surges instead of being armoured.

The commitment

18 km of dune buffer restored and 25 hectares of wetland reconnected by the end of 2029, with erosion measured yearly at fixed profiles.
